Founded in 1939 by Late Shri Bhaskar Ganesh Chitale, Chitale's legacy revolutionized India's dairy sector. His sons, Bhausaheb, Rajabhau, Nanasaheb, and Kakasaheb, continued the vision. In the 1950s, Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale was established by Raghunath Chitale.
Nanasaheb and Kakasaheb anchored the dairy business in Bhilawadi, Maharashtra, while Bhausaheb and Rajabhau expanded the milk retailing network in Pune, Maharashtra.
